At Anglia Printing Services all production methods and working practices are geared towards minimising the company’s impact on the environment. All inks are biodegradable vegetable oil based, no solvents or alcohol are used in production. Powered by green energy, the firm is climate neutral. All computers and lighting are low energy usage, heating system recycles its own heat, 100% recycling record of all waste produced by the company. They also run several recycling campaigns in the community (CD recycling has recycled 8 tonnes in 1 year).
The company’s printing press (one of the first in the country) is a waterless printing press, which cuts out the need for all chemistry except blanket wash (which is recycled and reused in house) Instillation of this press made a 40% saving on energy consumption compared to previous machinery usage. Paper wastage has been reduced by 30%
