Greenest Pub, Club and Hotel Award Highly Recommended
The White Horse was brought from almost certain closure as a pub. The most important feature was to retain the atmosphere of a traditional Suffolk pub. They extended and updated using traditional and green building materials, renewable energy for central heating, hot water and some of their electricity.
They wanted to show that running a successful business was compatible with doing the right thing environmentally. They hope that customers will take some ‘green’ ideas away with them and people will use this as a destination to walk and cycle to and from. They are located in the middle of the beautiful Suffolk countryside.
