Greener Communities
Here in Suffolk enterprising people are taking the initiative with climate change, working with others to create their own locally relevant solutions to issues that make their communities a better place to live, with the global benefits being a happy side effect.
Initiatives such as community groups bulk buying solar thermal products to lower the cost of reducing fossil fuel use for water heating, sustainable refurbishing of village halls, community renewable projects on local assets such as primary schools, or locally run energy awareness campaigns and events are taking place all round the county.
We're all interested in the bigger picture, but by doing what we can in our own areas of influence, and trusting others are doing the same, we can help Suffolk to remain a county of beauty.
All across the county people are doing their bit to help Suffolk become the greenest county. By reducing their energy and water use, insulating their homes, cycling to work, growing fruit and veg. or shopping locally - you name it, someone in Suffolk is doing it!
