Blur guitarist Alex James witnesses the impact of climate change in Africa

The film traces Alex as he learns how local farmers are adapting to an increasingly unpredictable climate using simple techniques that conserve water and improve the quality of the natural soil.

Alex James said: “As a working farmer, I was fascinated to see how agriculture in Burkina Faso compares with the structure of farms in the UK.

“It was great to exchange ideas and techniques, learning how farmers there are dealing with the challenges presented by climate change.”

Alex James from Blur visited the poor & heavily rural country of Burkina Faso this year with Christian Aid, to draw attention to the impact climate change is having on farmers in sub-Saharan Africa.
