The urban landscape across east London and beyond is already undergoing a dramatic transformation as a result of London winning the opportunity to host the next Olympic Games in 2012. But to ensure that sustainability at the heart of this vast regeneration programme, an independent commission has been established to monitor every aspect, from planning, to staging and right through to the legacy phase.
