Sir David Attenborough - appreciating your local environment
Sir David Attenborough has spent 50 years travelling through the natural world and in doing so, has built up a reputation as one of the nation’s most respected broadcasters.
But while his career has taken him to some of the most diverse and extreme environments on earth, he emphasises in this short film, the value of working locally to prevent the erosion of our natural landscapes.
This film follows a team of volunteers who - working with the charity group BTCV - have managed to align themselves with other members of the community and gain a renewed appreciation for their immediate surroundings.
BTCV attracts students, corporate volunteer teams, conservationists and many others across the country. If you would like to know more about how you can help, visit: http://www2.btcv.org.uk/display/btcv_home
