What are we doing?

The UK’s emissions of greenhouse gases probably need to reduce by a minimum of 60% by 2050, in order to play our part in slowing global and local climate change.

Everyone has a part to play in improving our local environment and in contributing solutions to global issues.

Landscape & Biodiversity

The "natural capital" of our historic landscape and diverse wildlife in Suffolk is a huge asset but exists in a delicate balance.

Food Drink & Tourism

Suffolk is already deservedly popular as a visitor destination and as the source for wonderful local food and drink.

Suffolk already has some fantastic people doing amazing things. The Creating the Greenest County Awards are designed to give those people the recognition they deserve. Champions will be selected in three Themes - greenest community, greenest business and greenest school.

Creating the Greenest County is a shared vision, involving representatives of all sectors across Suffolk. Since launching the initative we have held two major conferences to engage the wider community in our message, and to provide an opportunity for its delivery to be shaped by those it affects. These pages host information relating to our conferences, including videos and presentations from the days.
