Conferences and Events
Creating the Greenest County is a shared vision, involving representatives of all sectors across Suffolk. Since launching the initative we have held two major conferences to engage the wider community in our message, and to provide an opportunity for its delivery to be shaped by those it affects. These pages host information relating to our conferences, including videos and presentations from the days.
On 16 October 2007 Suffolk hosted the first Creating the Greenest County conference. Over 400 people and 30 exhibitors attended the conference which celebrated Suffolk’s “green” achievements and set out the aspirations, goals and actions for the future.
On 12 February 2008, we followed up the success of the 2007 conference up with a Business and the Environment event hosted at BT's Adastral Park. This event focussed on the particular sustainability issues faced by Suffolk's businesses, and included the presentation of the inaugural Greenest County awards.
Suffolk Show went green this year with a Marquee featuring 17 different green organisations and companies from across Suffolk.
