The Suffolk Climate Change Partnership Consultation (CRed Suffolk) has now closed. Thank you for all your responses.

New booklets have been produced entitled 'What is the Climate Challenge for West Suffolk?', which provide local businesses and householders with a clear explanation of what climate change is and how it will effect the region.

After the highly successful Creating the Greenest County Conference, held in October 2007, plans are now in place for the next conference, which will be taking place on 12 February 2008 at Adastral Park, home of BT’s main research and development centre in the UK. The February conference aims to inspire Suffolk-based businesses to help Suffolk become the Greenest County.

Suffolk Wildlife Trust is appealing to the county’s landowners to leave more scrubby areas, not only to provide a winter source of food and shelter for wildlife but as a valuable home for a wide range of animals throughout the year.

November 1st sees the opening of new awards to celebrate environmental excellence in schools, businesses and communities across Suffolk.

The Suffolk Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG) to present winners with the 2007 Farm Conservation Cup.

The best of Suffolk Food and Drink was celebrated at the EADT Suffolk Food & Drink Awards 2007 on Wednesday 3 October. Congratulations to all finalists and in particular to the Winners.

Hemcore, the UK’s only commercial hemp processing company, is to expand its operations with the construction of a new £3.6 million industrial hemp processing facility near Halesworth in Suffolk. When running at full capacity the facility will employ 35 people and enable Hemcore to process 50,000 tonnes of hemp straw a year.
