We’re looking for projects that demonstrate excellence in the field of local energy, from buildings to community-scale schemes to businesses. Has your scheme demonstrated an innovative approach to energy provision, efficiency, funding, or the development of smart grids, or delivered wider benefits to the community? If so, we want to hear from you!
It is often the drive and commitment of just one person that brings people together, with their ideas bringing a project to life. This award will recognise an outstanding individual and the contribution they have made in helping Suffolk become the Greenest County. Nominate someone who has inspired you, or nominate yourself, we don’t mind!
This award is open to any building, domestic, communal or commercial, that can demonstrate best practice in sustainability including design, process and management. Self-build or commissioned, retrofit or new build, we want to hear from you.
This award is open to any Suffolk based business with 50 employees or more. The award will celebrate a business whose actions have had a significant and clear positive environmental impact in their own operations and/ or beyond. If you are helping green Suffolk’s economy, let us know!
Celebrating a community or a group of local volunteers who are working together to improve their surrounding environment, raising environmental awareness and making a difference to others. You can nominate yourselves or nominate a group which has inspired you. Just make sure we hear about them!
This award recognises the work carried out by any individuals, schools, businesses, communities or third-sector organisation that are taking innovative approaches towards saving water resources. It can be in the home, garden, at work, in the fields of by raising awareness. If you are using it wisely we want to hear about it.
This award is open to any Suffolk based business with fewer than 50 employees. The award will celebrate a business whose actions have had a significant and clear positive environmental impact in their own operations and/ or beyond. If you are helping green Suffolk’s economy, let us know!
This award celebrates those paving the way for low carbon transition and shows how cutting-edge innovation is helping to grow the green economy. This is a wide category – from products that save energy to services that encourage sustainable behaviours, if you are leading the way to the Greenest County, we want to hear from you.
This award is open to an individual or group, for a project or on-going work, large or small scale, which is enhancing Suffolk’s unique landscape or providing new opportunities for wildlife and biodiversity to thrive. If you are making a difference, let us know!
This award celebrates the production, procurement or promotion of sustainable food or drink. This could include activities at a variety of scales, from kitchen gardens to local orchards, from pub menus to local markets. If you ‘like it local’, then tell us!
This award is open to any school, business, community group, third-sector organisation or individual, and celebrates efforts to encourage greener ways of travel. This could include behaviour change or infrastructure projects. If you are leading the way in Suffolk, let us know so we can shout about it!
This award is open to any school, business, community, third sector organisation or individual, who has taken an innovative approach towards waste reduction, re-use, recycling or upcycling. If you are preventing waste from going to landfill then tell us about your efforts.
This award recognises any educational establishment that is making efforts to increase pupil and staff awareness and taking action to improve environmental performance. If your local school is taking action, ensure they apply now!
