Suffolk councils have secured funding from the central government Department for Business, Energy, and Industrial Strategy. The fund will provide energy efficiency grants to cover the full cost of installing insulation on homes in Suffolk.
The funding is available to all home owners with a total household income of less than £30,000 per year. Funding may also be available for landlords who tenants and properties meet the government requirements. If you are interested in having this insulation installed for free, please register your interest with the council now by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 03456 037 686.
If you are a tenant, please pass this information to your landlord who may be able to get some financial assistance.
Once we have expressions of interest we will need to verify your household income where you will need to provide bank statements as evidence. Then energy and technical surveys will be conducted on your property, to check that it is suitable and meets the scheme criteria.
Please note that this funding is limited and is on a first come first served basis to eligible applicants.
The benefits of wall and loft insulation include:
- A warmer and more comfortable home
- Reduced energy bills
- A reduction in your carbon footprint
We will be working with local Trustmark approved installers to install the insulation measures.
Once approved and weather permitting, the installation works will take around two weeks to complete. We are looking to schedule the installations between December 2021 and June 2022.
Please be reassured that these works may require some internal access to your property, but we will minimise the disruption to you as much as possible. Our contractors will provide you with the measures that they will take to keep your safe in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant improvement to your property at no cost to you, so please don’t hesitate in applying if you would like to benefit from this insulation scheme.
