River Testing with Essex Wildlife Trust and Deben Climate Centre

19/03/2025 | 17:00 | YouTube

We’re proud to present our third webinar of the year, “River Testing with Darren Tansley, Essex Wildlife Trust and David Findley, Deben Climate Centre”.

Darren looks at the state of our rivers in the Eastern Region, how we have altered them over decades (or even centuries), and what is being done to make them more resilient to climate change and pollution. Using the River Deben catchment as a case study, David will describe the challenges in the tidal and non-tidal river sections, how water quality is assessed and the current state of the Deben. He will also discuss how citizen scientists can play a crucial role in raising public awareness  and holding regulators and water companies to account.

There will be time for a Question and Answer sessions. Anybody is welcome, and you can livestream our webinars for free on Facebook and YouTube. We look forward to seeing you there!
