Are you green fingered or even green minded? If so, why not consider joining the happy band of enthusiastic volunteers that make up Suffolk Master Composter Volunteers?
Places are available on the FREE Foundation Training course for new volunteers. You will receive expert training and ongoing support from Garden Organic and the Suffolk Waste Partnership, to enable you to act as composting ambassadors – encouraging and supporting the public to compost through promotional talks, events, and demonstrations. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least 30 hours to helping the scheme after training.
The training is informal and relaxed, and no experience is required – all you need is an interest in composting and a willingness to give up some time to help others in the community! The training course takes place at the Food Museum in Stowmarket on Fri 28th March 2025 (9am to 5pm). Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis – lunch and travelling expenses will be provided for the training.
