When Energy Innovations were looking to redevelop an existing building to create an existing new base for the ever expanding company, they were determined to do it in as environmentally friendly way as possible.
Sustainability Features
We installed a biomass boiler to heat the office and main house.
The 70kW Gilles boiler provides all of the heat required to the office and also a residential house and outdoor swimming pool. The heat is transported around the site via pre-insulated pipes that are buried about a meter below the ground.
The system was designed and installed by Energy Innovations.
Design Process
Energy Innovations specialise in the supply and installation of fully automated biomass boilers and so the design and planning process was something that they were able to easily deal with in house.
Grants
The installation was supported by a grant scheme that was running at the time. The scheme was Phase 2a of the Low Carbon Buildings Programme.
Green Lifestyle
The installation of the boiler supports the ethos at Theberton Hall Farm of having as little environmental impact as possible.
Evaluation
We are thrilled with our boiler that provides consistent and reliable heat day in day out.
