The following grants and support are available to help homeowners and renters reduce their energy costs and carbon footprint.
Warm Homes Suffolk
If you’re a home owner or private tenant with a household gross income of under £36,000, and are without gas central heating, then there are grants to help insulate your property and make it more energy efficient.
We especially want to hear from you if your home has an EPC rating of D, E, F or G. Check your EPC rating here.

Suffolk Loft Insulation Offer
The Loft Insulation Offer is currently closed and will be reopening in the Autumn.
We have teamed up with Travis Perkins to support Suffolk residents with an amazing offer on loft insulation. Travis Perkins will give you a 50% discount (up to a maximum of £200) towards the final bill, and delivery is free. So whether you are topping up or installing from scratch, you can make great financial (and carbon) savings.
This project has been supported by Suffolk’s public sector organisations as part of a commitment to deliver a shared Climate Emergency Plan. This sets out how partners will work together to support and guide residents, communities, and businesses to realise the benefits of making low carbon choices, setting Suffolk on the path to net zero.
Mid Suffolk Cosy Homes
The Cosy Homes scheme will offer up to £3,500 per property for a range of insulation methods. If you live in Mid Suffolk and have an EPC of D-G you maybe eligible.
Connected for Warmth
The Connected for Warmth programme provides fully funded energy efficiency measures for properties with an EPC of E, F and G and in receipt of a means tested benefit or income below £31,000. If you are a tenant, your landlord can get insulation measures installed for free.
Great British Insulation Scheme
Check if you can get free or cheaper insulation to reduce your home’s energy bills – including cavity wall, solid wall and loft insulation by applying for support from the Great British Insulation Scheme.

Boiler Upgrade Scheme
Through the Boiler Upgrade Scheme, you could get an upfront grant to cover part of the cost of replacing oil, gas or electric heating systems with a heat pump and in some cases, biomass boilers.

Suffolk Greener Homes 0% Loan
CURRENTLY CLOSED: Eastern Savings & Loans are able to offer 0% interest loans of up to £5,000 over 3 years, for a range of domestic energy efficiency and renewable energy systems. This includes solar water heating, air and ground source heat pumps, and other technologies. This product is only available to residents of Suffolk with a household income of less than £30,000 per year. You do need to become a member of ESLSCU to apply for this 0% loan.
Suffolk Oil 0% Loans
Eastern Savings & Loans are able to offer 0% interest loans of up to £500 over 12 months, for a tank of heating oil. This product is only available to residents of Suffolk. You need to become a member of ESLSCU to apply for this 0% loan.
