Solar Together Suffolk can once again offer you savings on the installation of solar panels for your home. The scheme was a big success in 2018, with 635 households saving an average of 20% on the cost of a new solar panel array. We are now opening Solar Together Suffolk to you for a second time.

Since March 2019, Suffolk’s Councils have been declaring climate emergencies. This means that we will be working in partnership to help Suffolk become carbon neutral by 2030. With solar panels, it is estimated the average household will reduce its annual carbon emissions by nearly one tonne each year – the equivalent of driving 3,200 miles in an average petrol car!

BUYING SOLAR PANELS MADE EASY!

Solar panels are not complex but buying a solar system can be daunting. Solar Together Suffolk is a group-buying scheme that helps you through the process, keeping you informed at every stage.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

  1. Registration: you register from now until 13 December for free and without obligation at www.suffolk.gov.uk/solar-together-suffolk. To register you simply provide details about your roof, such as its size and orientation.
  2. Personal recommendation: you will be contacted with a personalised offer, based on the specifications of your roof. This includes your costs and specification of your solar panel installation.
  3. You decide: the decision is then yours as to whether you want to accept your offer. There is no obligation to continue. You will have until 13 December to decide and will be invited to visit an information session.
  4. Installation: if you accept the offer, the winning supplier will contact you to survey your roof and set an installation date. All installations are planned to be completed by the end of March 2020.

For detailed information about likely costs, the amount of energy you can expect to generate, and lots more go to www.suffolk.gov.uk/solar-together-suffolk.

If you are interested in saving money on your energy bills and helping the environment by reducing your carbon emissions – register today. The more people who register, the better the price we can secure for you and the more clean energy will be generated by Suffolk residents.
