The Suffolk Climate Change Partnership is looking to run a project to enable the free use of thermal imaging cameras for community groups and parish councils to borrow to carry out community heat loss surveys. To maximise its usage, we are also interested in finding out if local authority staff would like to use it too.

The camera can be used to scan a home to identify potential areas where excessive heat loss is occurring, to help pinpoint the need for additional insulation in walls or draught proofing around windows and doors. This could help enable bulk purchasing of materials such as loft insulation.  Training would be provided in how to use the camera and how to interpret the heat loss images.

To help us gauge interest we would be grateful if you could complete this very short survey by 1 August.
